Christmas Day!!!

Christmas morning was so awesome this year. It was so fun to have a little one to watch explore his new found toys! Ashton has just fallen in love with Elmo. He would see him on TV and get so excited. We found this Elmo chair that laughs and shakes when you sit in it, he loves it. Although he doesn't find much time to just sit around he is far to busy with his important business.







Mindy's parents got Ashton a horse that links up to the TV that he can jump and rock. Christmas morning he really didn't know what to think about the horse but now he loves it. He is so funny. We got him a play cell phone and he will get on his horse and talk to his "friends". But usually he gets too involved with his chatting and gets bucked off!







We also went Nana and Pop's and had breakfast and opened presents. Ashton loved to watch Pop's train go around the tree. It is always fun for Ashton to go and see his trouble making partner Molly. Those two are so cute together. Before Ashton could walk he would just crawl after the kids longing to be part of the fun. Now he and Molly play everywhere.

Christmas Eve!!!

Merry Christmas!!! ha ha this has got to be the best picture ever! This is Little Ashton (Who is not so little) with his Great Grandma and Grandpa Roesbery (GGR). The face that GGR is pullin here is priceless. Its one of those moments that Ashton has arched his back to get lose but the picture was snapped at just the right time. Anyway for Christmas Eve we were with Mindy's Mom's family and it was a blast! It's always fun to gather with family and celebrate, especially around Christmas when you not only celebrate but you remember the Savior. We had some awesome grub and then opened presents. It was so much fun. Ashton has a few cousins his age in the family so he has fun playing with them.

Happy Birthday!!!

It's hard for us to believe the little one is now one year old! He has brought so much to Mindy and My life! I no it sounds cliche but it seems like only days ago he was born. Time really does fly, it makes you realize how important every minute is. Well for Ashton's birthday Mindy made him a car cake! It turned out really good, it was Mindy's first attempt and she did great! We had our immediate family over to help us celebrate.. Ashton was in all hisglory. He loves having his cousins around and any family for that matter. He loved his presents he got, thank you all. Then he got to eat his cake. He Loved every second of that. W couldn't believ how much he ate! It was so funny he'd get a huge hunk of cake in his hand and offer to it to anyone interested in trying it

Ashton the Helper

Ashton loves to "help" I put it on quotations because sometimes his help isn't that helpful... lol. As soon as he hears the clank of dishes he comes running and has to help you get the dishwasher ready to go. Mindy recently started a job working form home Ashton always is trying to move the mouse to the right spot, since obviously Mindy isn't doing it right. Also Mindy must not have good spelling or grammar because he is always hitting keys on the keyboard as well. Mindy's parents came and stayed with us for Thanksgiving and this is the boys help he offered them to get our Christmas decorations up!

Santa

We recently had a visit from the big man himself. Mindy was so excited to get some cute pictures of Ashton in his flannel Christmas PJs with Santa. As Santa came down the stairs Ashton had to be with his mom, he did not trust this guy for a second. He was holding onto Mindy really tight. So we had Santa sit down so Ashton could get used to him. Once we thought he was better we Let Santa take him. He was not happy he just started crying so hard! So we took him away from the Big guy and calmed him down and gave it a second chance, same results. Finally we used the secret weapon... candy! We gave Santa candy and Ashton sat on his lap pretty good after that. It was so funny, Ashton loves food!

Sundays

Alight so if you know the boy you know that if he is awake he is on the go! This makes our Sunday experience pretty crazy! During sacrament he always wants to go play with the other kids! His love of others is really a blessing. He loves to play with other kids but during sacrament that becomes a curse. If any kids are walking by or playing nearby he has to be a part of their games! Mindy and I recently got called as the youth teachers. We meet in the Young Womens room but only have a handful of kids so its nice because Ashton has free reign of the huge room. He just walks all over whille we have our lesson. But after a long day of church all the boy wants to do is crash!

Halloween

Ashton loves Halloween! I mean any holiday thats main objective is to get as much candy as possible.... What could be better! We were a family of pirates and it was so fun to have the little one to enjoy Halloween with. I must admit Halloween is at the top of the list of my favorite holidays. I love the time of year and just how much fun it is to dress up. It just seems like all Halloween is about is having fun! I'm grateful for the wife who got all of our costumes prepared for the big day! Ashton and I trick or treated at the houses that are connected to ours Mindy was surprised I only went to a few houses but I felt bad taking this little baby to get candy that everyone knew was just going into my belly...lol. Next year Ashton should be way excited to get a bag of candy!
